Abbot House is a beautiful A Listed building dating back over 500 years, to at least the 16thC, and is the jewel in the crown of Scotland’s ancient capital. Join us to journey back in time to experience a unique Scottish mediaeval house.
The top two floors of the house have not been open to the public for nine years so take the opportunity to view them and hear about our visitor centre plans.
Our ‘pink hoose’ offers many distinctive features that have been added over the centuries, including a ‘1500s’ wall fresco and mural by the renowned Scottish artist and writer, Alasdair Gray.
You can also enjoy our beautiful artisan gift shop and independent coffee shop, ‘Prost’.
