West Dunbartonshire
The Antonine Wall is a major historical feature across the centre of Scotland. It ends or starts here in West Dunbartonshire (depending on your view). The terminal fort within Old Kilpatrick is hidden by modern buildings, but the wall stretches eastwards from here. The next fort was at Goldenhill which is the subject of this walk. Although a highly significant fort in its day, you need some guidance to identify its location and form.
Severine Peyrichou is the Antonine Wall Project Development Officer for the West Dunbartonshire Council. She is leading a project to engage the community in the future of the Antonine Wall within this area and to promote our Roman heritage and to make the wall more accessible.

Additional Access Information
Much, but not all, of the walk is wheelchair accessible, but we advise that assistance is required due to the slopes and some rough terrain.
