Stirling Old High School Observatory
Stirling
See the Moon, and perhaps Saturn, through our large 135 year-old Newtonian reflecting telescope, which sits inside the copper-domed Observatory at the A-listed Stirling Highland Hotel. Previously Stirling High School, the building was converted to an hotel in 1990. Tours, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will be provided by members of Stirling Astronomical Society. Please note, there are no tours on Saturday this year.
This is a very popular event so you may have to queue, but the hotel has kindly provided a room where you can watch a digital presentation while you wait. Unfortunately, there is no disabled access to the observatory, which is up a 90 step spiral staircase.
