Renfrew - Renfrew Trinity Church of Scotland Parish Church
Renfrewshire
Trinity Church is a Victorian era parish church.
The church organ celebrates it’s centenary this year. There is also a link with the development of the Wurlitzer Organ. It is an early prototype of separation of organ and keyboard that Wurlitzer later bought over the rights of from the manufacturer. Our cantilever wooden roof beam supports are a unique architectural feature in Scotland - for which we are an ‘A’ Listed building.
We will have our church sanctuary open to the public for them to view and walk around. They can sit in the church pew seats and rest a little or be escorted around our halls to view them. They can look at our church organ and hopefully hear it being played.
We intend to talk for a few minutes time about the organ history and have our church organ play music for short 10 minute periods of time at each hour and each half hour (This is our plan and depends if we can obtain an organist to play - so times may vary)
We will provide bottles of water and cans of soft drinks for those who ask and crisps will be available - all white sticks last)
On Sunday 8/9/24 our church service will take place from 11.15 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. and visitors will be made very welcome to observe a typical Church of Scotland worship service.
