Renfrew - Inchinnan Bascule Bridge

The bridge was opened in 1923 a fine example of the Sherzer rolling lift type of Bascule Bridge and one of two still operating in Scotland. Designed by William B Hall and engineered by William Arrol Company LTD.
The Grade A listed bridge was extensively refurbished and strengthened in 2004.
National Transport Trust recently awarded the bridge a Red Wheel plaque. Heritage Locations (nationaltransporttrust.org.uk)
This year the Bridge will lift at 10am & 1pm.
