Paisley - Paisley Abbey
Renfrewshire
In Person
Founded in 1163, Paisley Abbey is one of Scotland's largest and finest churches, and The Cradle of the Royal House of Stewart. In medieval times it was an important monastery, where monks of the Cluniac order lived, worked and worshipped, and the building would have dominated the landscape. Today the Abbey is still an active church as well as a major visitor attraction, and venue.
Look out for the Alien Gargoyle!
Abbey Guides will be on hand to give a history of the key dates and events in the life of the Abbey.
