Holy Trinity and St Barnabas Church opened as Trinity Chapel on 19 May 1833 on St James’ Place. It was the first Episcopalian church in Paisley. Indeed, it was one of the first Episcopal churches built in Scotland after the 1795 repeal of penal laws against the church.
Tours within the building will refer to the architecture, including its range of stained glass windows. There will also be brief tours around the outside of the building describing its historical significance in The Sneddon area of Paisley.
Viewing of church interior and description of changes over almost 200 years.
Organ recitals during the day.
Display of church vestments.
Children's Quiz sheets and "Animal Hunt" throughout the day.
