Paisley - Gallow Green Project / Renfrewshire Witch Hunt 1697

RWH1697 are a community group interested in the research of a dark history of Paisley -Witch Trials. Through outreach programs and events we tell the community, tourists and scholars of this history. The last mass witch hunt in Scotland.
We have now taken a step towards the future with the Gallow Green Project. We intend to asset transfer the Gallow Green, believed to be the last remains of the original Gallow Green, Site of the Pollok Witch execution 1677, Martyr's execution & burial of 1682 and the Bagarran Witch execution 1797. We hope to bring community together in nature, Remembrance and tolerance to establish a Memorial garden.
We will have Witch walks at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm. Where we will visit the believed site of the execution on Castlehead, the beautifully sad Tondo by Sandy Stoddard and tell the dark history of Paisley.
Visitors can make seedbombs for the garden, decorations for the garden. There will be information boards and quiz sheets. For those no nimble to take part in the walks, there will be talks.
