Perth & Kinross
The Mackintosh Building sits in the centre of the beautiful village of Comrie, on the edge of the Scottish Highlands.
The modest, first-floor flat was designed by Scottish architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and dates from 1903–4, a time when he was doing his very best work. It was commissioned, by a local draper and ironmonger as a shop with a flat above. The ground floor is a shop space (currently vacant) containing original fittings and is also owned by the Landmark Trust.
