Join experts from Scapa Flow Museum on a guided hill walk around the wartime landscape of Wee Fea. This will include looking at the infrastructure associated with building the underground oil fuel stores which lie beneath the hill, and interpretation of the former Royal Navy Central Communication Building and Staff Office (CCB&SO).

Please note that the walk DOES NOT include access to this building or the tunnels leading to the underground oil fuel stores.

There will be a guided walk on both Saturday and Sunday, beginning at Scapa Flow Museum at 11:30, lasting approximately 3 hours. 

Additionally, Scapa Flow Museum will be open from 09:30 - 16:15 on both days and is free to enter.

Additional Access Information

The walk starts and finishes at Scapa Flow Museum and will last approx. 3 hours.

It includes a steep ascent/descent, walking on road, tracks and some rough ground. Wee Fea is an exposed location, and the walk demands a good level of general fitness. 

Suitable footwear and waterproof clothing must be worn.

There are no toilet facilities on the route.
