Orkney
Please note that this event is happening on Friday 6th September.
Join the European Marine Energy Centre at its annual Orkney International Science Festival open day at the wave energy test site at Billia Croo.
This is an opportunity to find out how Orkney is leading the world in the development of wave and tidal energy. You'll learn about innovative projects harnessing the power from the sea around Orkney, monitoring the environment and wildlife, storing power as green hydrogen, and the creation of e-fuels to decarbonise aviation.
Guided tours will begin around every 20 minutes (dependent on group size) and will last approximately 50 minutes.
