New Monkland is a parish church and has been in situ for nearly 385 years in the village of Glenmavis. Often referred to as the Auld Grey Kirk on the Hill, this historical building has a covenanter background is a B listed building with a bell tower that is A listed. The church is attractive and has 13 beautiful stained-glass windows by renowned artists. The church plays an important role in the life of the village.
