Lanarkshire Family History Society

North Lanarkshire

In Person

The Lanarkshire Family History Society centre has Microfilm Viewers, PC with internet access, a large selection of Lanarkshire/Glasgow Maps from 1856, many records and files which are of use in compiling your family tree. There is also a growing Reference Library of books relating to Genealogy and Local History. The Centre holds records and information on 37 Lanarkshire Parishes in North and South Lanarkshire. The society is run entirely by volunteers who give their time to help others find out more about their family history and explore their family tree.

For Doors Open Days visitors can enjoy access to the research centre and practical advice on researching your family tree and exploring the history of your ancestors.
