Elgin Library are celebrating Scottish Archaeology Month and all things history by putting a focus on historical fiction and non fiction collections.  They will have some fun activities for the kids too! Join in the hunt for Pictish symbols to create the Elgin (Library) Pillar or design your own Roman coin.  

With lots of fun fact books about history and archaeology, or a gripping historical yarn, or National Geographic History magazine or Scottish History magazine (available for free on the LIBBY app)  there is something for everyone at Elgin Library!

Why not pop in to view the latest exhibition in the Gallery from the Moray Camera Club, have a cuppa and cake at the café, and then pop in to browse the library shelves and borrow your next favourite author, or a board game, or a cook book, or a map, or a talking book, or download the LIBBY app for thousands of free magazines and audio books, or books and activities for the kids, or take a seat and use the free wifi or read the local paper….there is something for everyone!

The Local Heritage Centre is also open from 10 till 12, where you can find out about your family history, the building you live in or check out what was on the front page of the paper on the day you were born.
