Inverclyde
Inverkip, Skelmorlie & Wemyss Bay Church of Scotland is a union of Inverkip Church and Skelmorlie & Wemyss Bay Church. Both church buildings continue to host services each Sunday and both church buildings will be open for the public to hear of their history, artifacts and enjoy a refreshment in the church hall with further information on the various groups who meet in the hall.
The church building was designed by Glasgow architect, John Honeyman. He employed Charles Rennie Mackintosh who made the interior staircase and the lamp that graces the main entrance. The church was further enhanced by the addition of a lavish carved reredos and five magnificent stained glass windows.
On the 1st January 2024 we became a Union with Inverkip Church.
