Groam House Museum

The Groam House Museum is an 18^th century building on the high street in Rosemarkie. Gifted in 1974 by Italian businessman Mario Pagliari of Rosemarkie, his contribution ensured there would be a safe location for the Rosemarkie Pictish cross slab, the iconic focus of the museum and village.

Come to Groam House Museum for a scheduled talk at 1.30pm and 3.00pm each day. We will share the latest discoveries about the brutal murder of the 6^th century Pict known as the Rosemarkie Man, the local Pictish community where he was found, and their highly-skilled works of art which still remain. After the talk, walk upstairs or explore our online collection of Celtic Art and Design to see how the craft continues in use to this day.
