Highland – Caithness & Sutherland
Waterlines is a heritage centre and museum telling the story of the village of Lybster. We have displays relating to the history, geology and the local environment.
There is a cafe, gift shop - cash only
Lybster harbour is part of the herring fishing trail where fishermen, coopers and gutters followed the fish down the east coast of Scotland. The path of the John O’Groats trail which runs over the hill behind the centre probably follows closely, the trail the gutters would have walked.
Tours of the exhibition and activities for children will be available across the weekend.
