Highland – Caithness & Sutherland
On Sunday 22nd September we will be offering special, limited hard hat tours of the Old Clyne School.
We are in the process of a c£5m project to redevelop and extend the 1863 former parish school building to create an integrated visitor attraction and community museum / heritage centre. Our building is located at a very visible site on the A9 and popular NC500 tourist route in Brora.
The completed project will provide:
• Security for heritage services in Brora, from a significantly expanded and highly visible community museum and heritage centre.
• An ambitious programme to share the important heritage of the local area with wider audiences from a purpose-designed, easily accessible venue.
• A local hub delivering economic, social and environmental benefits for local people.
• A much-needed additional visitor facility on the NC500 (supporting rising numbers on the route).
This is a unique opportunity to learn all about the history of the building and our exciting project to transform it into a new heritage centre for Brora.
Tours at 10.30 am and 11.30 am Meeting at Old Clyne School.
Please see 'Key Information' for booking is essential, as places are limited.
