2024 Theme

Setting off from Syre Cemetery at 10.30am, we will walk the 1.7 miles through Rosal Forest to explore the Rosal Clearance Village site. On the walk we will be accompanied by a local architectural specialist as well as North Sutherland Wildlife Group and Species on the Edge.

After our return to Syre we will proceed to Strathnaver Hall for an exhibition featuring artefacts from the 1970s Fairhurst archaeological dig at Rosal. It will also be an opportunity to see some work by local artist and photographer DB Naver. Tongue’s Choir will provide entertainment in the form of Gaelic songs and lunch will be provided along with tea and coffee.
