University of Edinburgh: Holyrood Campus
Edinburgh
Holyrood Campus is located in the heart of Edinburgh, just a short walk from the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace. It houses both the Centre for Open Learning and Moray House School of Education and Sport.
Holyrood Campus includes Old Moray House, the oldest surviving building in the University of Edinburgh, and the Summer House, where according to tradition the Act of Union between Scotland and England was signed in 1707.
In old Moray House, many period rooms have been preserved including the Balcony room and the Cromwell room, which both retain their original plaster ceilings from 1618.
After visitors have enjoyed a short tour of Holyrood Campus, a variety of family drop-in activities and taster events, suitable for all ages, will be running on the day. Our University of Edinburgh Teaching Fellows will be present on the day to lead activities across a wide variety of topics including languages, humanities, social sciences and STEM.
Language taster events will run on the day too.
