Once the headquarters of the Incorporation of Mariners and Shipmasters, Trinity House is home to a treasure trove of fascinating maritime memorabilia, artworks and curiosities collected by sailors from Leith throughout the centuries and from all the corners of the globe.
Take a self-guided tour of Leith's hidden maritime gem. Learn about trade routes used by seafarers leaving the port of Leith and discover how maths is used in a maritime setting. Visit the sixteenth century vaults, once the home of Leith Academy where mathematics and navigational skills were taught to the sons and apprentices of shipmasters. Drop in crafts and activities suitable for all ages available throughout the weekend.

Visitors can learn about trade routes used by seafarers over centuries leaving and entering the port of Leith. Many of our objects have connections to far away places and visitors can discover these during their visit.

Free car parking is available for users of the Kirkgate Shopping Centre and is limited to 90 minutes after which a charge applies. Paid on-street parking is available nearby. Nearest tram stop - Foot of the Walk.
