The Thomson Tower is a hexagonal two storey tower. Built in 1825 for the Duddingston Curling Society by the famous Edinburgh architect William Playfair. 2024 Theme - Heritage of Routes, Networks and Connections

In our Upper Chamber we will be displaying various persons who have played a part in Duddingston Village and the Kirk.  For example, John Thomson who was Minister of the Kirk for 40 years and his associations with the likes of Sir Walter Scott and the artist Turner. The Lower Chamber will show the shift from playing the game of Curling on ice to its more to purpose built Ice Rinks.
