Edinburgh
We are a small gallery based in a converted phone box right in the heart of Edinburgh! We exhibit the work of up and coming artists and community groups, as part of Edinburgh Old Town Development Trust.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the red telephone box, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. It has been a British cultural icon and a symbol of communication. Step into our refurbished "The Nook and Crannie Gallery," reconnect with this living heritage, and explore its contemporary significance. Tied to the theme "Heritage of Routes, Networks, and Connections," this intimate space invites you to reimagine the ideal form of this iconic symbol through drawing or other creative means, and contribute to the ongoing narrative of connection and community.
2024 Theme - Heritage of Routes, Networks and Connections
We will consider the importance of connections and the important role that the telephone box has historically played in this, within the info at the site and within the art activity.
