This is a very rare honour & unique privilege to welcome serving Royal Marines as very special Guest Speakers & Tour Guides.
Various riveting Talks with PowerPoint Presentations will each focus on a separate Topic e.g. (i) Overview of 360 years of History of UK’s Corps of Royal Marines ; (ii) Awards of VCs to RMA, RMLI & RM ; (iii) Achnacarry Castle Training Centre during WW2 & revered Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge ; (iv) Corporal Thomas Peck Hunter, VC, RM 43 Commando & WW2’s “Operation Roast”, Lake Comacchio, North Italy ; (v) CTCRM Lympstone, Exmouth etc to name but a few.
The Q & A sessions are anticipated to be quite lively, interesting & humorous.

17:00 to 18:00hrs = Extra Talk No.X1 of X3 :-
17:00 to 17:20hrs = Talk ;
17:20 to 17:40hrs = Q & A session ;
17:40 to 18:00 = dispersal of first / previous group & admittance of next group.
18:00 to 19:00hrs = Extra Talk No.X2 of X3.
19:00 to 20:00hrs = Extra Talk No.X3 of X3 & the end for Sat-28-Sep-2024 & the end for Sun-29-Sep-2024 & also Edinburgh's "Doors Open Days" 2024 Festival. NB : Edinburgh's "DOD" 2025 Festival will be held over week-end of Sat-27th & Sun-28th Sep-2025.
Caveat : In the event of serving Royal Marines being urgently recalled to their Units, Tours will be cancelled as appropriate & Talks will continue as appropriate with reserve speaker.

No children under the age of 16 years.
The nearest tram-stop is Port of Leith. Looking towards MV Fingal (sister yacht to RY Britannia) – it cannot be missed – walk towards it & turn left into Tower Place, continue walking until you reach Malmaison (Leith) Hotel.
Key Information
1st come, 1st seated. In the event of Function Room MAL3, ground floor, being full, entry will depend on if/when a seat becomes vacant. There is NO seat reservation, thus should you choose to leave F/Rm MAL3, there will be no re-admittance, thus enabling possibly other people in queue to enter & listen to a Talk(s).
