28 September 2024 (11:00 - 15:00)

29 September 2024 (11:00 - 15:00)

Edinburgh

In Person

Situated in the grounds of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and managed by Cyrenians the Community Garden, Woodland and Orchard supports the recovery of hospital patients and green prescribing participants with therapeutic nature-based activities alongside NHS staff and local community wellbeing. Volunteers and buddies give their time to fulfil the gardens aims and objectives as we grow together.

This in person garden event will include 45min walking tours of the Woodland and Orchard at 11.45am each day. Within the garden volunteers and Cyrenians staff will demonstrate traditional gardening techniques and crafts for wellbeing. There will be opportunities for both children and adults to have a go at some activities. Music played and poetry read through the day. Garden and houseplants will be offered for sale along with sustainable produce grown in the garden. Refreshments will be available along with hand-made cakes, biscuits and scones freshly baked in our cob oven. All sales proceeds and donations in support of Cyrenians work in the Royal Edinburgh Community Garden.
