Outer Spaces is a charity collaborating with artists, art collectives, organisations, and commercial property owners, to occupy and activate the nation’s empty commercial spaces.
Our aim is to build an alternative infrastructure for the arts by matching artists with empty shops, offices, and industrial space, to produce and exhibit their work, and rehearse, perform, and deliver workshops and events.
An exciting and unique opportunity to take a behind the scenes peek of the former office building on Ocean Drive which is currently being occupied by 50+ multi-disciplinary artists. This open studio event is an opportunity to see real artists at work and find out how they utilise and reanimate empty commercial buildings in the city of Edinburgh.
Visitors do not need to book but will be signed in and out and a studio plan will be provided. There will be two ‘stewards’ on each floor, as well as artists working in their studios.
