Edinburgh
Nicolson Square Edinburgh (NSE), part of Central Hall Venues, is a conference and events venue centrally located in the beautiful and historic capital of Scotland. This venue, Category A Listed, is housed in the City of Edinburgh’s Methodist Church buildings where it was first inaugurated as a public meeting space for the Methodist church in 1815.
We will be opening 4 rooms in the venue to the public. 3 of the rooms will focus on the theme - routes, connections and networks. Each room will focus on one aspect of the theme - routes detailing John Wesley's tour through Edinburgh, Connections detailing the Methodist's churches past and interviews from members of the church, and networks detailing church artefacts and archival documents on display. The last room will feature an optional 20 minute talk every hour on the history of the building and the connections to the current company running the building on behalf of the church.
2024 Theme - Heritage of Routes, Networks and Connections
3 out of 4 rooms are linked to the themes, 1 exploring routes, 1 networks, and 1 networks, and the last room focuses on heritage and history/looking to the future.
