Edinburgh
In Person
Our church welcomes visitors on Doors Open Day with an opportunity to walk around the building, see our exhibition and listen to music. There will be a children’s craft table. Refreshments will be available and stewards will be on hand to assist and answer any questions.
Opened for worship in 1824 as part of the Georgian New Town of Edinburgh, Broughton St Mary’s is a distinctive landmark on the city skyline. Among the church’s most striking features are the stained glass windows, the attractive paneling around the front of the gallery, and the pulpit, said to be one of the highest in Scotland. The fine Lewis organ dates from 1882. Recently refurbished, the church celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.
