Built to be a place of inspiration and worship for the city, St Paul’s was designed by its founder, Bishop Alexander Forbes, and its architect, Sir George Gilbert Scott, to offer beauty and peace in the centre of a busy city. It has continued to do so ever since it was dedicated on All Saints Day 1865, its soaring spire is a landmark for miles around. St Paul’s is the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Brechin in the Scottish Episcopal Church and the seat of the Bishop of Brechin.
The Cathedral will be open from 10am – 4pm, self-guided materials will be available to help you to explore the history of this Neo-Gothic Church built in the heart of Victorian Dundee.
