The Museum of Communication aims to inform, educate and entertain the public with the exciting developments in communication technology that we enjoy today. Older visitors can reminisce, recognising the radios, TVs and phones of their youth; younger visitors see how their smartphone and associated functions developed.
Everyday items explained in layman’s terms. This year our new exhibition "It's About Time" explains the importance of time in the development of many things we take for granted, try to imagine a world where it took three days to send a message from Edinburgh to London !!
There will be guided tours of the museum and hands on activities for children e.g. speaking tubes, field telephones, Morse keys and others.
