A Whirl Around the Gaiety

This new short film takes disenfranchised teenager Amy on a journey not only through The Gaiety theatre but its history too. Amy meets activist Davis Brock who is trying to save the theatre from demolition. As they explore the theatre they meet the people whose stories make up its past: stories about how the theatre survived wars, fires, lions, a drunk Frenchman and how Cherubs saved the building! This film reflects on The Gaiety’s variety heritage and audiences can expect a rich mix of comedy, music and dance.
