2024 Theme

Located in the beautiful setting of Irvine Harbourside, HAC is the cultural hub for North Ayrshire, a multi-function arts centre. We offer a varied programme of theatre, comedy, music and visual arts – often featuring local artists, and a wide range of classes and workshops to suit all ages and abilities.

Open Studios Ayrshire Open Weekend

When you’re out and about on 13-15 September, be sure to visit the Harbour Arts Centre when four artists and makers from Open Studios Ayrshire are in residence demonstrating their craft. Susan Montgomerie, silversmith and graduate of Glasgow School of Art, and Jenny Brown, award-winning seascape painter will create a new piece as you watch, along with newcomers, Delyth Reid whose paintings are inspired by nature and Karina Oakes, creator of animal studies & pop culture collage.

Come along and see how it’s done. They will also have a selection of their artworks for sale, including prints & cards.

Exhibition

The Harbour Arts Centre is proud to host the 2024 exhibition for the Ayrshire artists and makers of Open Studios Ayrshire. The collective, founded in 2012, has grown from strength to strength and now boasts 58 members covering a wide selection of mediums from paintings to pewtercraft, cyanoprints to ceramics, sculpture to silver jewellery, glassart, printing and drawings. Truly something to inspire everyone!

Join us for the exhibition preview on Thursday 5th September 6.30-8pm and meet the artists themselves. Their exhibition runs from Friday 6th September to Saturday 19th October. Open Tuesday – Saturday 10 -4pm.
