The Glencairn Aisle is the burial site of the Cunningham Earls of Glencairn. Dating to 1600, the Glencairn mural monument is an intricately carved memorial to the 7th Earl, his wife and children. Two 14th century burial slabs kept within the aisle may belong to the founders of the collegiate church.
For Doors Open Days there will be guided walks taking in the churchyard, collegiate church, as well as the interior and exterior of the aisle. The walks take place from 10am to 3pm, and members of the Glencairn Aisle Conservation Committee will be on hand to answer any questions.
