To celebrate Doors Open Day, admission to Castle House Museum will be free on Saturday 21st of September. Come along between 10am and 4pm to learn more about our town’s history through our main exhibition area, watch a short film of old picture postcards and their modern equivalents in our cinema room, and enjoy our Victorian Rooms. We have plenty on offer for younger visitors too, with our Museum Bingo and Victorian Rooms Quiz. We are looking forward to welcoming visitors and sharing stories of Dunoon’s past.

Additional Access Information

There is a ramp leading up to the main entrance of the Museum building. We have a lift that transports visitors to the Museum itself. Our main display area is accessible via four small steps or stairlift. Our Victorian Rooms are accessible via three small steps with a handrail.

There is an all-gender toilet with a baby changing station.
