2024 is the Centenary Year of the listed Rural Hall built in 1924 by members of the community in Forglen who were gifted a stained-glass window depicting Jacob’s Dream designed by Clayton and Bell, world famous manufacturers of religious stained-glass windows. The window was restored in 2019 by Linda Cannon, art conservator from Glasgow.
There is a War Memorial within the grounds and a Roll of Honour and plaque to Piper Findlater in the Hall.
