Burnhaven School
Aberdeenshire
Burnhaven School is the smallest school in Peterhead but is rich in history. Originally the school roll comprised of Prison Officers' and RAF Officers' children. Although Burnhaven School has changed over the years it is one of the few buildings which remain of the forgotten village of Burnhaven.
The forgotten village of Burnhaven was demolished in 1960 but the present children of Burnhaven School have been learning all about it and would love to share their local history with you. You are welcome to visit the school, see the exhibition of learning about our local history and have a tour of the school. Everyone is welcome and if you have a story to tell us about our school, we would love to hear it.
On Doors Open Days informative tours of the school and exhibition will be provided by our Prefects, refreshments provided by the Parent Council and other surprise entertainments will be available throughout the day.
