Set within traditional 19th century heather-thatched cottages, Glencoe Folk Museum holds an eclectic array of objects celebrating local heritage and providing an insight into the history of the area and its people. However, we are currently closed to the public for an exciting redevelopment! Our objective is to overhaul the Museum site, balancing the much-loved charm of the current attraction with a modern, fit-for-purpose space. This project will protect and enhance the historic structures while working to secure our environmental and financial sustainability, ensuring the Museum continues to be a tremendous local asset for the next 50 years and beyond!
