I lead a team of heritage & design specialists in the council, we use Doors Open Days to promote our built heritage.
I've been involved in DOD for 25 years and we simply could not hold an event without support from local civic societies, as we concentrate the event each year in and around one town, so this year are grateful for the help of the Hawick Archaeological Society.
I'm proud to include the Heritage Hub (Archives) because it will be information centre for DOD, it celebrates local heritage and last but not least I spend two years of my life in project managing its creation.
